VIVA Concludes its Diamond Sponsorship of the Second Economic Development Conference
Kuwait, June 1st: VIVA, Kuwait's newest and most advanced mobile telecommunications service provider, concluded its diamond sponsorship of the second Economic Development Conference that was held at the Regency Hotel on May 28, 2012.
The conference was held under the auspices and attended by the Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Development Affairs, Dr. Fadhel Safar, and covered various subjects and matters that touch the lives of Kuwaiti citizens, who are considered to be vital in the development process.
During the discussion sessions, participants presented their insights regarding the role the government should play in the implementation and control of the development plan's performance. They also outlined the most important mechanisms and means to optimize the collaboration between the government and various sectors of society such as the civil community organizations. The sessions also focused on the role that civil society organizations can play in the social development of Kuwait, concentrating on other international experiences where the civil society effectively collaborated with the public sector to drive growth and development of societies.
